New/Reactivated Club Applications

Omega Leo Club 

• Dan G moves to approve Omega Leo as a club on trial. 
• Silmi S seconded the motion, no objections. 
• Omega Leo Club is approved to be on trial. 

WiSTEM (Women in STEM De Anza) 

• Needs club petition; need to look over constitution for this meeting. 
• Dan G moved to approve WiSTEM as a club with a 1/2 table for club day with an approved constitution. 
• Darin seconded the motion, no objections. 
• *This club still needs a completed petition. 

De Anza Basketball Association

• Needs to fix titles of officers (7?) for club and provide a complete list of duties for all positions as well as more of a description. 
• *This club has the same advisor as Omega Leo Club. 
• Dan G motions to tentatively reject their application with necessary edits and resubmission.
• Will W seconded the motion, no objections. 

Computational Neuroscience Club 

• Darin moves to approve the Computational Neuroscience Club after modifying their purpose to be more clear and concise. 
• Dan G seconded the motion, no objections. 

International Relations Advocacy Club 

• Joel N moves to table IRAC's club petition/constitution. 
• Dan G seconded the motion, no objections. 
• *This club needs to provide a complete application. 

Palgorithm De Anza 

• Dan G moves to approve Palgorithm as a club on trial. 
• Darin seconded the motion, no objections. 

Sustainable Business Consulting Club 

• Need more clarity on what "The Sustainable Business Consulting Club ... learn significant climate and social items. 
• Will Wu rejects consitution until clarity of purpose for the club is resubmitted after revision of Article II on constitution.  
• Silmi S seconded the motion, no objections. 

Chess Club at De Anza

• Advisor only advises 1 other club, rosters have been submitted. 
• Darin moves to approve the De Anza Chess Club as a club on trial. 
• Silmi S seconded the motion, no objections. 

STEMB

• Special Interest Club 
• Darin moved to reject STEMB as a club on campus. 
• Silmi S seconded the motion, no objections. 
• Explanation: Club is rejected because the club specifies that they're a special interest club given their recent revision rather than academic, even though the social aspect can be obtained through academic based clubs.

Winter Club Day Updates

• Form for interns to help out for club day, currently have (4 people supporting) high needs from 11pm-2pm. Many have not filled it out yet. 
• Club Day Flyer will be posted today; Carys is awaiting approval of flyer. 
  • Flyer needs to be resized from Instagram size to poster size; needs additional details. 
• Drinks are expensive so only hot chocolate and cold water will be offered instead of punch and lemonade. 
• Form can only be extended until tomorrow, Tuesday, January 22, 2024 by EOD 5pm. 
• Dana will be on campus tomorrow at around 2:30pm-4:30pm to support with getting the cart put together.

• • Info sessions need to be divided up. 
  • Folks not planning to reyturn tp deanza next year, Darin, Elton, Joel, Sean, Dana plans to not participate next year.
  • Dan requested that everyone writes a blurb of why students should consider applying for the position as a Chair.
