• Polls

  • Promotional Items; budget from DASG include 1500 dollars including pens, apparel, water bottles etc. 
  • Have to keep per item price low; link sent in the chat as well as a QR code.

  • Sean H moved to keep the same style and color of sweaters from last year. 
  • Dan G objects to the motion; requests sweater to be a hoodie. 
  • Hoodies are more expensive; most likely to be polos, shirts, long sleeves etc. 
  • New design would be an additional $50.

Business Item 2

• Scholarship 

  • Carolee Erickson Memorial (Club Officers only); 1 recommendation needed; specific to club officers.
  • Leadership Scholarship (For club officers but open to ICC Officers; 2 letters of recommendation.

  • Dan G motion to keep the same prompts for the ICC Scholarships.
  • Carys A seconded the motion; no objections. 
  • Carys A moves to keep award amounts to $1,000. 
  • Dan G seconded the motion; Will Wu objects. 
  • Will W proposes to change the amount of the scholarships to $500 to award more as well as keep the $1,000 award amount for the memorial scholarship. 
  • Group proceeded with discussion over proposal taking into account the awards given out from the previous school year 2022-2023. 
  • Dan moved to keep the prompts to $1,000. 
  • Sean H seconded the motion; no objections. 

• Reader Decision Making

  • Joel Ng amends the motion to have the La Donna (Financial Aid Office) and Memorial Scholarships (By ICC Council). 
  • Dana S seconded the motion; Will W objections. 
  • Will Wu proposes that it gets too complicated and it is coming from the ICC funds. Financial Aid Office already have their own scholarships that are given out. 
  • Dan G the scholarship is coming from ICC funds; out of principal, it is implying that the ICC Council does not have the ability to treat them objectively. 
  • Joel Ng agrees and proposes a recommendation from the financial aid office to review. 
  • Will Wu would like to engage in a vote over the matter. 
  • Joel Ng mentions that the financial aid office would provide recommendations but would not be making final decisions. 
  • Joel Ng moves to end debate and decide on a vote. 
  • Dan G seconded the motion; no objections. 
  • Joel N moves to have a vote on scholarships with consultation from financial aid office and reviewed by the ICC team. 
  • Joel Ng moves to recess. 
  • Sean H motions to keep the deadline for the ICC scholarship in mid February. 
  • Joel N seconded the motion; no objections.

• ICC Expectations and Vision

  • ICC team reviewed and discussed the Vision for ICC and reflected on how to improve in the areas that need improvement and areas of strength.
  • The ICC team also discussed best practices including the necessity for team communication, email etiquette and professionalism. 
  • If documents are being created they should always be through Outlook; if something needs more feedback include it in an email as well. 
  • Martiza A showed the ICC Homepage on the De Anza Website; Article on the internship duties, responsibilities and expectations. 

Business Item 4

• PowerCUP Coffee 

  • Dan G presented the item; asked for opinions on the coffee flavor descriptions and recipes. 
  • Planned on finalizing for the Fall Quarter; may start at the beginning of Winter Quarter. 
  • Joel Ng moved to table this item. 
  • Sean H seconded the motion; no objections.
