This event is hosted by De Anza's DECA chapter. This workshop will be led by Garrett Shakstad, CPA and SHRM-SCP, who is an accounting professional, educator and advocate for community college students.
Students will learn how self-awareness is the foundation of reading the room, how interviewers actually evaluate candidates and how to use positivity and presence as intentional tools. You will walk away with practicable habits and will improve your active listening, coachability and likeability. Student will also learn a grounded way to talk about past mistakes that signals growth, not defensiveness. Come ready to think about interviews differently.
