Academic Reading and Writing


Course Description

This course integrates the reading and writing skills necessary for success in English reading and writing. Course emphasis will include evaluation, analysis, synthesis, and critical inquiry of assigned readings and essays. Concurrent immersion in this course, specific to the reading and writing process, provides foundational strategies and skills in a transfer-level curriculum.

LART 250.1UM: This class is part of the Umoja Learning Community, designed to help first year students succeed through community-building, linked classes and African Diaspora focused curriculum. This is an online class that does not have scheduled meetings. Students can log in anytime to do the required weekly course work.
