Artificial Intelligence Working Group
The AI Working Group addresses the expanding role of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education, exploring its capabilities, limitations, and ethical implications. Our goal is to provide the Academic Senate with a comprehensive understanding of AI's potential impact on teaching, learning, and academic integrity, and to propose recommendations for best practices.
AI Faculty Fellow
Through Academic Senate advocacy, De Anza established an AI Fellow position in Winter 2026 to help guide this work. The Fellow is developing a framework to support coordinated AI efforts while leading professional development through a Community of Practice and targeted outreach.
