Welcome to De Anza College Summer Academy 2026!
We’re so glad your student is joining us. Our program runs June 29 –July 24 on the De Anza College campus. To make your first day easy, here’s everything you need to know before you arrive — where to park, where to go, and who to reach with questions.
Getting Here & Parking
Parking on campus is free. A few things to know before you arrive:
- Park only in student spaces — the ones marked with white lines. Avoid any yellow spaces labeled “Staff,” where cars may be ticketed.
- Lot C is our recommended lot, and it has a drop-off and pick-up lane.
- Lot B is also open for student parking.
- Euphrat Museum art classes: drop off and pick up right in front of the building in Lot A if your student begins or ends the day there.
- G building: drop-off or pick-up if your student begins or ends the day in one of these rooms. HS students may also park their own cars if they’re driving to campus on their own in Lot E.
Finding Your Classroom
Classrooms assignments can be found on the website using the links below:
Look for De Anza College Summer Academy signage when you get to campus. De Anza College staff will also be roving throughout campus to help any student or family who needs directions.
It helps to pull up the campus map before you arrive — we’ve created a Summer Academy version that shows only the buildings and parking lots your family will use: Find the campus map here.
Every building and room is clearly labeled, so your room assignment tells you exactly where to go:
- Room L74 (our program office) → look for the L7 building
- MCC rooms → look for the MCC (MultiCultural Center) building
- G rooms → look for the G building (one long building that houses all the G classrooms near Parking Lot E)
- Euphrat art classes → look for the Euphrat Museum of Art near Parking Lot A
- PE2 classes → look for the PE2 building (the main gym)
- Planetarium classes → look for the Planetarium or PLT (the building with the blue dome)
During the Day
Restrooms are available throughout campus, near every area where classes are held. The L Quad restrooms are currently being remodeled — temporary restrooms are set up nearby with signs showing the way. We expect the remodel to be complete by August.
Questions or need help? Our program office is in Room L74. A site principal or De Anza College staff member is there throughout the day to help with anything that comes up.
Running late? If a student arrives more than 15 minutes late, please check in at the L74 office first, before heading to class.
Reporting an absence: If you know your student will miss one or more days, just email attendance@deanza.edu and we’ll make a note of it.
Pick Up
End-of-day timing looks a little different for every family, since it depends on your student’s schedule:
- Students should leave campus once their last class of the day ends.
- If your student has just one class, they can arrive shortly before it begins and head home right after.
- There’s no check-out process — unless a student needs to leave in the middle of a class session.
- Please pick up your student within 15 minutes of their last class ending. There will be no supervision of students after that window.
About the Classes
- On the first day, each teacher will send home a class syllabus for your family to review.
- De Anza College Summer Academy is an enrichment program — there are no grades or credits.
- Teachers may offer extra work at times, but it’s completely optional.
