Careers in Personal Fitness Training

Personal fitness trainers design cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and nutrition programs for individuals in various settings: in client’s homes, at clubs or fitness centers. Trainers are caring, highly motivated, physically fit people who have flexible hours and many opportunities to grow and expand their knowledge. The pay range in this field is good and it is among the occupations with the greatest expected growth in the next few years. The California Employment Development Department’s employment outlook for fitness trainers and aerobics instructors predicts nearly 49% growth by 2012 (Source: Labor Market Info www.labormarketinfo.edd.ca.gov).
