help system for additional information about system updates.
The latest version of Mozilla Firefox
is highly recommended for using the Foothill-De Anza online application
and registration system (fewest number of errors reported).
The system has been tested with success on Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0 and Safari.
• Note:
If you are connecting to the registration system behind a proxy (many
times this is the case with large corporations),
your network's security settings may not allow you to connect to the
system. The system will display an error similar to "Cookies need to be
enabled".
Unfortunately, we have not found a solution to this problem. The phone registration system is another option to consider.
Apple computer users:
If you are using Mac OS 9, you may still be using version 5 of Internet
Explorer, which is not recommended for the Foothill-De Anza system.
Most of the other browser developers (except iCab)
have also ceased to support Mac OS 9, and so any unresolved security
and performance problems will not be fixed. There are no plans to test
the Foothill-De Anza online system with the iCab browser.
It is recommended that Mac OS 9 users upgrade to Mac OS X and use either the Firefox or Safari browser.
Recommended Browser:
Mozilla Firefox, version 2 (WinVista, WinXP, Win2000, Mac OS X, Linux)
Other browsers:
Safari (Mac OS X, WinVista, WinXP)
Internet Explorer, version 6 and above (WinVista, WinXP)
The following instructions cover the major settings and are meant to be

Before changing any of your preferences, you may want to take note of your current settings.
This will enable you to return to your original settings after using the registration system.
