Comments from the group about the Joint PBT Meeting on November 22nd -

Need a longer meeting.

Still need to discuss WSCH as it would be affected by potential staff reductions.

There was some wrong information and it appeared SS reductions were not taken seriously.

IPBT expressed appreciation for the information they received at the meeting.

Recommendation to schedule the joint meeting earlier in the quarter.

Needed more information in the notes about what was said.

Communication between instruction and student services still needs improvement.

The meeting did emphasize how a cut in one area affects another and the need to work together.

Continued Discussion of Budget Reduction Proposals

Comment that we need to balance course offerings and how we will look with reductions.

Many returning veterans in January. We will need to look at what we need to provide.

Reviewed and made changes to the Budget Reduction Proposal Summary to be presented at College Council on December 9th.

It was noted that counseling reps for the Academic Senate felt they had not been informed of the proposed budget reductions and did not have an opportunity to provide feedback.
