Course Information

De Anza College operates on a quarter system with twelve-week sessions beginning in late September and early January, April and June. Application to the College and online registration is available by going to the De Anza College web site.

Students register for distance learning classes using the same process as students in on-campus academic courses.

Schedule of Classes
Check the schedule of classes to find out critical information about your course.

Course Syllabi and Instructor Web Sites
Many instructors have online syllabi, or web sites with information specific to individual courses.

Online Orientations
For many courses online or on-campus orientations are required. Refer to schedule of classes to see if a particular class has an on-campus or online orientation or both. Information on orientation dates, times, places and deadlines is provided through the Online Orientation link, as it becomes available.

Important links:

Adding a Class. Add codes may be available from the course instructors after the first day of instruction. If you did not register for a distance learning class and want to add after the quarter starts, contact us for information on space availability.

Waitlisted Students. To add a class you must attend the on-campus orientation/first class meeting. It will be determined at that time, if space is available in the class. For classes that do not have an on-campus meeting, contact the instructor or the Distance Learning Center for information on space availability.
